Good morning, We are not writing from Berlin, Maryland, but from Berlin, Germany. Right now we are enjoying watching the men work in front of the KiteLoft using your camera site. We were just in your store in October when a very friendly young lady from Poland also showed us where the camera is mounted. This camera site is a great invention and it makes us feel right at home, since we lived in Silver Spring a long time and had our summers in Ocean City. We come back regularly and are planning our next visit already for this year. We remember the Kite store when you had it near the Plim Plaza. Our nephew even once won a prize in the contest for kiddies. The items we bought we still enjoy here in Berlin. The helix is our favorite and we have also made these as gifts to friends here. I was DELIGHTED to see that the kite man is still in Ocean City, MD...I moved to Arizona in 1980 at the age of 15 and before that was born and raised in MD. How I miss Ocean City and the beautiful kites that would brighten the sky during my summer visits. Now I have the desert (no ocean), the sun (sunblock 2000), no rain (we die of dry heat out here) and am so sorry I was transplanted out here. I just wanted to say that I have the internet and now I can visit the pictures when I am feeling homesick...and I have been homesick EVERYDAY for the past 26 years! I have very fond memories as a youngster of walking the boardwalk with my mother and seeing the beautiful kites. What fun summers I had as a child. Here in Arizona...well that's another story... Thank you for the tradition of flying the beautiful colors high in the sky...!!!!!!!

I am a beginner at the blog business but not as a customer of Kite Loft. My daughter turns 24 this month, and I bought her a Bird of Paradise kite to celebrate (also, she just got married). In August of 1984, Andrea started to visit Ocean City annually. Later, at 5 and beyond, she and I returned each year during the Week of the Firemen and began our pursuit of kites together. She has a patriotic delta, a snowflake in fluorescent colors, and a dragon. I have a hydrofoil, an orange diamond with endangered species, a blue diamond with a wolf, a penta with dolphins encircling, and one or two more. We've shared them, and mostly, we've loved them. I rarely come to O.C. due to health and money, but you have brought joy to my family and my life. An aside: Andrea's first grade teacher was married to and mother to engineers. Jean returned to school after raising her sons to teach. My daughter was part of her first year class. Jean taught forces, pushes, and pulls. She had her husband bring in a kite to fly outside for the kids as part of the lesson. Jean was phenomenal and memorable. When she died from cancer 5 years later, a kite was displayed at her funeral which was really a celebration of her life. Thank you for your important and special part in our lives.

Prism EO6 - The best kite ever

To whom it may concern,
I recently purchased a Prism E06 on Thursday, 10/9/08. I took it out on the beach the next day and it was a little difficult getting it up at first, but once in the air it looked awesome and got lots of looks from the boardwalk in front of your store. I think I had it up to 200 ft and found it easier to do stunts at around 100 ft. I have not flown a kite since I was a little kid and this box kite seemed easy to fly even being a beginner such as myself. It truly is an awesome kite and very forgiving. When it did drop out of the air it was the softest landing I had ever seen, once I landed on the fence next to the dunes and again another soft landing with no damage. When packing up to go, I just fold and put into case. That is truly one of the best selling points for me. I cannot give this kite enough praise.

I just wanted to thank you also for your webcam. I grew up on the Eastern Shore and now live in Baltimore. Your webcam lets me feel like I am there and keeps me thinking of the times I still can get to the ocean during the year to fly the kites I have purchased at the Kite Loft. Hope you have lots of customers this summer, your store is truly one of the icons of Ocean City right up there with Thrashers and the Alaska Stand...Thanks for keeping those great memories alive

I am very impressed with the service I recieved from from you fine folks!! I ordered my Elixir on the 7th, and it came accross the country to WA state and to my door on the 9th!! WOW! I'll even say it backwards, WOW! Major kudos to Julie, perfect customer service skills!! I hope one day to meet her. Learn to fly sweetheart, you'll love it!! I want to let you know about the great service I received over the past two days by your employee, Julie. I called in yesterday to inquire about some products and she was very helpful and courteous. She was being inundated with numerous phone calls and she asked me for permission each time she needed to place me on hold to answer the phone or look up information of the products I was interested in purchasing. During the course of our conversation, she asked for my phone number so that she could call me back later in the day with the information which I needed in order to place my order. Julie returned my call last evening and left me a very detailed message and was very apologetic that it had taken her so long to return my call. I returned her call this morning and she took care of all of the details and has my order on its way to me. I work for a Company that prides itself in providing the highest level of customer service to our Members and I truly appreciate the professionalism she exhibited towards me. Just wanted to say Thanks! I typically try to support my local kite shop, even though they tend to cost a little more. I figure its only fair trade for the advice I get, and the ability to see and touch what I'm buying. But they were unable to get a 4ft Spot Dog line laundry for me for 6 weeks, so I called around to find one. Ten shops in a row said they didn't have one, and I couldn't get one, forget it. I called your shop and had the kite in the air in less than four days! Just in time too. My four-year-old neice was coming for a visit that weekend and she had been begging me to get one for months. You saved the day, and my reputaion as Uncle Bob.
